We had a very tight schedule for our last two days of build.  We were hit with an ice storm and had to pack up shop at 7 p.m. and were unable to come in on the final build day.   Our team underwent a ton of stress.  Our core members in build, programming, and electronics, worked their hardest to take apart our grabber and re-do it. We were unable to finish completely.   We redid bumpers and are still excited for regionals.

The scrimmage has come and gone.  It was fun seeing what other teams came up with and their strategies.  We learned a lot about our robot this Sunday.  There were some small mistakes that were easy to fix, and some large ones that caused us to pack it up early and come back home to do repairs.

We spent two days driving the robot in our school's library.  There were some lessons to learn and some things to fix.   Breaking and rebuilding is standard in robotics.

We got our shirts Friday and we're very pleased with them.

this week started a little hectic.  Our main actuator that lifts our arm up and down broke multiple times during drive practice.  Thanks to our programmers, we now have a programmed code that will keep the actuator from overextending and breaking.

We got chain guards attached and the camera mount finished.  Shirts are on their way!   Programming still has lots to do before Sunday's scrimmage at Aquinas!

We have name our robot COMRADE MANTIS.

He is our friend, he is our Comrade.

We spent this week finishing off building the robot. We received an order of pool noodles for bumpers which lead to bumpers getting done. Electronics were mounted and cameras were put in place.  There was some problem solving on our arm which lead to minor adjustments.   Saturday we worked on wire management and decorating.   We also spent the day testing the robot (tried climbing which was scary) and building code.
